15. Website Design

15.1 CMS Selection

We reserve the right to use any Content Management System (CMS) of our choice when designing your website.

15.2 Template Use

We may choose to use templates for your website design if we believe it is the best option for your project.

15.3 Design Credit

We will place a message at the bottom of your website (of our choice) that indicates we designed the site. If you remove this message without our permission, you will be charged a fixed fee of £800.00 plus VAT.

15.4 Payment and Site Launch

Your website will not be made live or placed on your domain until the full balance for the project is paid.

15.5 Aftercare & Amendments

A maximum of six hours of work for revisions and changes to the website requested by the client, as revisions – This shall include, but not be limited to, the necessary technical implementation and testing of revisions and changes to the website as requested by the client. Any additional hours of work requested by the client beyond the agreed-upon six hours shall be billed separately and agreed upon by both parties. The provided six hours of work for revisions and changes must be used within 30 days of receiving the first draft from CreateTheWeb.

15.6 Issue Fixing & Website Warranty

We shall provide a warranty period of six months from the date of completion of the scope of work outlined in the proposal, during which any issues or bugs with the website shall be promptly addressed and resolved by CreateTheWeb, at no additional cost to the client. This warranty shall cover any problems or defects in the website that arise as a result of the services provided by CreateTheWeb under this agreement. Any issues or bugs that arise as a result of actions or modifications made by the client or any third party outside of CreateTheWeb shall not be covered under this warranty.

15.7 Site Security

If you do not have a maintenance package, you are responsible for your site's security. We will set up your website with the most up-to-date security measures when we design it.

15.8 Ownership and Licensing

We will retain the ownership of your website and grant you a licence to use it on your domain.

15.9 Editing Capabilities

We may provide limited editing capabilities for your website. You may have the option to pay a fee to unlock full editing access

15.10 Our time frame

We are obliged to complete the first draft of your website within 12 months after we explicitly agree to begin (we keep an average time of 2-6 weeks, for business reputation goals). This does not apply if the client causes a delay in the completion of the draft.

15.11 Mandatory Use of Our Website Hosting Service

Unless agreed otherwise, the client acknowledges and agrees that the use of our website hosting service is an essential requirement for the provision of website design services. We are unable to offer the service using any third-party hosting. Should the Client wish to terminate our hosting service and move to another provider, they must first fulfil their obligations of the 12-month agreement for their website hosting. In addition, the Client shall be required to pay a one-time fee of £240.00 before we release the website files. If the Client moves their hosting to another provider without settling the aforementioned fee or obtaining prior written consent from us, we reserve the right to deem this contract as broken. In such cases, the Client will be liable for additional charges amounting to £550.00 plus the original £240.00, which must be paid immediately upon our request.
